Wow, did this day go down the toilet! BY BOBS new little chick drowned. Your dog, and car trouble MROO. And some other bad news I heard from others on BYC.:hit:barnie:thVery sad news.
I'm sorry about your little chick. I've lost a couple that way and it's truly heartbreaking. As for the rest, well, we did wake up this morning ... and a lot of other people didn't, so there's that. Tomorrow is another day ... so Indy and I are gonna take our mini-pharmacy and head off to bed ... trusting that we'll face another day, tomorrow. And if not? Well, that's a whole different, very old story - and I'm okay with that one, too! "God willing and the creek don't rise" ... I'll catch you all tomorrow! G'Night, Friends!

When all this Covid19 stuff started I was able to pretty much lock my gates and hunker down on my farm. That was around the end of March. Other than twice monthly runs to my local Piggly Wiggly for stuff that I WANTED not NEEDED, I stayed on the farm.

I've had exactly 5 visitors since that time, all trusted like minded friends/family.

Well, this week I said "what the hell"...so I made sure my animals all had plenty of food and the auto waterers were working fine and I jumped into my truck and made the 4 hour trek to the beach. Checked into my rental condo and noticed mostly idiot family's with small children.

The beach was more crowded than I was hoping and the couple of restaurants that I went to were simply unbearable and quite frankly kind of creepy.

Will be checking out early today and heading back to the farm. I've realized exactly how much I hate most people.

I have no desire to eat in at any restaurant, or use a public restroom, or stay anywhere else. Not now! Family visited outside yesterday, and that was close enough, especially because they are fine with everything, and are going out.

I had a delayed dental cleaning yesterday. Had to phone in when I got there. Lots of protective measures being taken.
Went to the store and big sign, no masks don't come in. 6 of 8 people didn't have a mask near the entrance, inside the store. :he farther in most people had a mask, although some didn't have them over the nose and mouth. Not a lot of people in the store and they had lots of checkout lines open.

I need a dehydrator because I have a ton of herbs and fruits. I will get one soon. I want it to make jerky because my youngest is obsessed with it.
Just don't confuse your dehydrator, for an incubator or vice versa!:old

That has a whole new meaning around here. I have a year 'round creek I have to cross to get off the property and 3 times now, in less than 2 years, we've had 25 year, 50, and 100 year flooding and we have been stranded. The last time for 4 days and neighboring farms had barns and buildings washed completely away.

Ankle deep tranquil babbling creek went to a raging river at 12' deep. My bridge, driveway, and surrounding acres were deep under water. So now, when I hear that phrase, I cringe.

...nothing against you for saying it, the opposite actually...now I truly get it.
