So do I! I do NOT use the phrase lightly. My property backs up to a creek the size of a small river. We're only a 1/4 mile from where it empties into the true river - and it's at the tip-top of the nations largest fresh-water estuary , The Chesapeake Bay. So, I know exactly what I'm talking about when I invoke that particular phrase! That has a whole new meaning around here. I have a year 'round creek I have to cross to get off the property and 3 times now, in less than 2 years, we've had 25 year, 50, and 100 year flooding and we have been stranded. The last time for 4 days and neighboring farms had barns and buildings washed completely away.
Ankle deep tranquil babbling creek went to a raging river at 12' deep. My bridge, driveway, and surrounding acres were deep under water. So now, when I hear that phrase, I cringe.
...nothing against you for saying it, the opposite actually...now I truly get it.
Hmmm ... did it work? I've seen successful hatches done in a frying pan. Creepy ... but cool!Oh, I know. On another thread someone had some extra eggs and put them in the dough riser as an incubator. Most larger dehydrators do have a dough rise setting, so not a crazy thought at all!
My firstborn was a gem. I've always claimed that we could not have custom-ordered a better baby/child/man than the fellow we got. My family calls him the "Sucker Child" because he suckered me/us in to having another one. Then came DD. From day one, she was dubbed our "Challenge Child." If she had been born first, she would have been an "only!" She kept us young and busy ... and usually well-entertained once the heart-failure passed. I tell her all the time that I'm "glad I went through with it," because she's an amazing young woman and I can't imagine my life without her. It would definitely have been much more empty ... and quiet ... and slower ... and ... NO! I am THRILLED to have her ... HONESTLY! I genuinely loved the little monster ... and always will-and-do!The parent's curse; "may you have children just like you"!!!

Should I laugh at that post, or feel bad for you? With all the trouble I had with shrink-wrap in the beginning, I think I got one of those dehydrabators by mistake!
