Same situation in my house. G is locked up and masks to leave and bleaches everything in the bathroom when he's done. We have a spray bottle and paper towels. We leave food out for him and knock on the door.
I suggest cracking a window in your room, especially if it's on the 2nd floor, if you can afford to. It keeps the airflow in one direction - up into and out your window, so it doesn't circulate in the house as badly. And the air exchange keeps virus counts down in your general space so it's less risky to walk out.

It's scary but I hope we can all get through it without infecting other people.
The g33kie scientific detail I'm fascinated by is the gravity part of this equation. Particulates of a given molecular weight "Large" have a documented (and cool video too) gravity proving glide slope.
*** ~6' & shorter
Particulates of a slightly smaller size have a noticable larger glide slope but, still effected by gravity.
*** ~6-~12'(ish)
And then we have the wierdos.... Particulates that are speculated to somewhat ignore gravity. These are again smaller then the previous group but, theoretically the human eye can supposedly still see them?

*Pause button* this is where my memory stops cold. The data I'm limited by in this reply stops here are the cool video research project stuff that is now all older that 6+ months as of now. They had shown how much a mask can reduce particulates transmitted with different masks and without. The articles would talk about plans to research the *floating* aspect and also the life cycle of these cells that can potentially float.

I have my window cracked, no need to worry about being on a second floor in my little town. We don't even lock our doors in this town. Everyone owns more then one gun LOL.

Oh, I was actually thinking about the convection of the house. On the second floor, a cracked window is more effective because hot air rises. If you were on the first floor and your partner on the second or sharing a floor then cracking a window would be less effective.

The hot air from the house vents "up" out the wind when you are on the second floor, creating a gentle thermodynamic pull from other areas of the house to drive air INTO your room and OUT the window, instead of through the rest of the house. 🤔 The thought of robbers didn't even cross my mind, tbh. Lots of unlocked doors where I live too - probably a miniscule number of guns though.

It's not much but it's what we're doing. I'm glad to hear you're doing it too.

I’m not exactly sure since I barely leave the house once a week (on rare occasions) I haven’t heard or seen any type of enforcement here. Everything seems to be shutting down again though
Are you in Cali?
Your avatar location goes nowhere viable.

I'm not going out much either, I've seen no enforcement.
Kinda falls on the business owners, and they ain't doing it that I've seen, can't blame them.

Yeah, that makes sense cause with my window cracked right now cold air is blowing in but at least its fresh air.

I'm no scientist, electrykmonk, but as I understand it, the Covid virus lives longest in larger droplets of water which are heavier and don't stay suspended in the air for a longer interval. So our greatest risk is being close to an infected person -- who is or is not exhibiting symptoms -- who is expelling droplets, as in a cough or a conversation.

Furthermore, it, apparently, takes a significant amount of the virus to "take".

Being masked, either as the transmitter or the transmittee, or -- best of all, both -- greatly reduces the chances of infection, as those larger droplets of liquid carrying the virus are the ones that don't cross through a couple layers of fabric.

That being said, I made some new Christmas masks. I like this new pattern I've found that shapes the masks and keeps them from making direct contact with my mouth.

It’s a fictional place
Like being at Hogwarts, Gotham City, Neverland, or Narnia
So yes I actually reside in California.

Yep and I just really hope people stay home/social distance this time around
