Really nice!
Today, first time ever, i tried to make pasties. Good recipe from a friend, but not a lot of detail... So, too much filling for the pastry rolled out, and no success making enough cute rounds for the individual pasties. NOW I remember how it's done, from a TV chef!
Anyway, it's all in a cast iron dish, with the crust on top. Who knows how long it will take to cook?!
Anyway, next time I'll remember how to roll out small dough circles; start with balls of dough!

Starting garden plans. The wheel keeps turning and in less than two months I will be starting my first seeds already (12 week herbs).

I wanna get my seed order in ASAP this year. D: A bunch of my seeds I wanted were out of stock last year and I even ordered early. My prediction is there will be many more preorders but that it will be substantially less chaotic and overwhelming in total orders than last year.

So when you know the statistics and see that 2020 did not change the total of yearly deaths- it makes you aware how this virus is truly affecting our country. The deaths have not changed from previous years.
Yes it is a real virus, yes it is something to be aware of but it is not exactly as media would like you to believe. Survival rate is good. Medicine, plasma, and now a vaccine- I am hoping this gives people hope and again be kind to one another. shop local and shop small! It may mean a small business can survive this and provide food for their families. Big stores like Walmart, Menards and Amazon will be just fine- let us reach out to the little businesses! Tip well for servers- we can be apart of the healing process and showing love.
I have a brother who can not wear a mask or shield due to high anxiety and lung issues. He carries a doctors note. And he gets picked on- and I know it is easy to give looks or be critical- remember not everyone can wear a mask- we can’t see that- be kind

I completely agree with you, Bigbluefrog, about supporting the struggling independent business who are being devastated by the shutdowns. But I can't agree on dismissing the deaths and hospitalizations the virus is responsible for.

This is just ONE of the news stories about the state of our hospitals now statewide. In the 50 years I've lived in CA deaths have continued to happen from any number of events. NEVER have I seen hospitals maxed out, 5 hour waits to evacuate ambulances into ERs and discussion of rationing care -- which is to say making decisions about who's not worth treating and diverting resources to those more likely to survive. To ignore any of this is to disrespect the work and mental health of the medical professionals and their support staff who have to deal with this Every. Day. along with the growing number of dead and their grieving families.

I know I am LUCKY that my daughter remains a survivor of all this but the fact remains that she CRIES her way to work every day knowing what she'll have to face and that the time when it will finally be over is Not. Yet. In. Sight.

Promote my site? And what site is that? You mean the group I made on here where people post pictures of their funny poultry? That site!? Also, my ‘garbage conspiracy theories’ were stating what i have read so far on this thread. It’s been made so that people can discuss their opinions on what’s they think about Coronavirus. And when you say ‘waltzed into’ you sound as if it was a thread not for meant for the public when in fact it’s for the whole of the BYC community to read and post their thoughts!!!!!
