:fl Let's HOPE not, but to be honest, you sound right on track with the symptoms. That woozy head is a lulu. It was like I was constantly stepping on and off of escalators. The whole floor moved! :fl
My woozy head, something I've been dealing with for..years. đź‘€. It's maddening, disheartening. No one can figure me out. :(

I'm not sure how much difference it makes to drop the age of eligibility. ...at least here.

CA has a population of 39.5 million people. It's consistently the one of the top 3 states hit by the virus and our illness count exceeds every other country on the globe. Some 3 million doses of vaccine have been delivered to the state and only about 25% of those have been administered.

So far my daughter is one of about 6,000 people in SoCal who've been vaccinated. Thank god!!! A retired doctor friend who hasn't seen a patient in 20 years has as well. He admits he pulled the "doctor" card and he managed to get his shots. They're the only people I know who've been vaccinated so far.

The Princess and I know of no one who has been vaccinated. We have registered with our county and also with our health care provider. Because of our age we are in the 1) B group. She is 75 and I am 79.

I am a little nervous about the vaccine. Sooo many different reports and warnings But it is a moot point since we got a text from our medical provider that they haven't received any vaccines yet!

Don't be nervous. Getting vaccinated is the best chance we have of getting some measure of control over this virus.

Just remember you could be sore You could feel flu-ish for a day but do it anyway because the immunity is thought to last a year. You could also breeze through it without any side effects. Also remember it takes another 2 weeks after the second dose for your body to work up to full immunity so continue to wear your mask and keep your distance. But do it with more confidence. The more of us who are not available to be hosts, the less the virus can migrate and mutate.

...when shots are available, that is.

My niece in nebraska, a covid nurse, has received both shots

Bless her for the work she's been doing! And I'm so grateful she's got protection now!!!! I know even if her family and loved ones don't have the same protection yet they feel grateful to think she'll continue to be OK!

I work in healthcare and just got my second shot (Pfizer) on Monday. Feeling very humbled and grateful. 1st shot—mildly sore arm, like you’d get with any injection. Received my 2nd shot at 0800 am. Had a sore arm, of course. Fine the rest of the day. A little fatigue which could just as likely have been caused from my night shift work schedule and lack of sleep. By bedtime (11p) I had a low grade fever under 100.5, which I might not have noticed had I not been paying such close attention. I didn’t feel bad enough to take anything for it. Fever was gone by 2 am. May have had a very mild headache (say 1/10) in the a.m. that could have been in my imagination and went away in about 30 min after a cup of coffee and a Tylenol. Felt completely normal after that. Totally worth it. I imagine the side effects were over much more quickly and were multiple times milder than Covid. Feeling guilty that husband is not eligible yet (and probably won’t be for months though he works in a college and is probably at a pretty high risk of exposure). Also frustrated that my parents who are eligible (75+) have no way of accessing the vaccine yet and cannot wait in hours-long lines even if they were able to contact someone (local health dept. phones set to voicemail) to tell them where and when to go. At any rate, I am grateful to have been vaccinated through work, still take precautions in public, and am hoping so very hard that research finds you can’t spread the virus easily once vaccinated. It would be such a relief to have less chance of making my family, friends, and community sick.

I know they're glad you got vaccinated, TwoShepherds. The rest of us will wait for those of you who have been playing Russian Roulette for the best part of a year! It's a relief to know that the helpers will be able to be available when you're so very much in need!
