Sourland phrased this much better than I could have. Being kind is exploitable if the other person is not here with good intentions. There have been many times in my life when being kind was not the correct course of action and led to myself or other people getting hurt. Children got hurt. Because I tried to be kind and forgiving.

I always start out with kindness. But it's a hard-fought self love to stop being kind to people who prove through their actions that they'd rather use that kindness for their own agendas. Nobody is obligated to be kind to people who are engaging in bad faith with the intention of treating you poorly.

Many people are aware that their choices are harmful and deliberately chose to spread it for their own benefit, however slight.
There's a world of difference between shutting down everyone who disagrees with you and stopping bad faith actors.

I live in fear of the untested vaccine and the side affects. I hope it is not mandated. All

to be honest guys I don’t know who to believe any more as far as media. We have turned it all off. I am on chicken groups and that’s it. I have no plan to get a vaccine because if the questionable additives in it. I am afraid to go to the doctor to get the Covid test for fear of being in some future group moved to a camp somewhere. Done with politics after the voting scams. There is no reason to vote as long as those machines are in use and the same people are running the elections. I feel like Covid is a man made virus and was used as a political move to put fear into people so we would accept the new political push to one world order. and it worked I am now afraid thanks to the social media and the news. And the only thing we look forward to these days is getting more chickens and a trip to the feed store every two weeks.

Sounds like you got the right idea, turning off all the fear mongering media and living life for today, happy with your chickens!!

Sorry I never updated my brothers condition after getting COVID, but he was able to recover with no issues (thankfully )
My dad is a teacher and was able to get his vaccine shot on Saturday, I’m not sure if he has to get the second dose (?)
I really want to get mine soon, but I’m not a health care worker, essential worker, etc. so it may be a while before I can get it :/

Hooray! I'm really glad for you, your brother and your dad.

Currently all the vaccines in the US are two dose shots so he'll need his second in a few weeks if he hasn't gotten more than one yet.

I'm in the same boat. It's gonna be months before I get mine. We have one essential worker in our house, and it'll be good for protecting other people and working toward herd immunity, but it's not super useful for us unless we can all get it, tbh.

DH got his first vaccine last Friday, and I got mine this morning. Yahoo!!! Once in a while being a senior citizen does pay off...
