"Novel" in this context means new; never seen before. So it absolutely is not "common" in the context of human experience with that specific viral strain.
I believe it is a new and different thing. Its not the same as seasonal flu in my opinion. I have had close friends and family describe their experiences in detail. Its different and it is dangerous to some and not so much to others it seems. I am concerned about the autoimmune aspect of both the virus and potentially the vaccine.

my bad i was thinking corona .

Ah. Yes, that is correct. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. A “novel” coronavirus is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

Because it’s so new, very little is known about how this coronavirus acts. And since there has been no vaccine (until 6 weeks ago) and no established immunity from past cycles, it requires additional precautions than the known corona viruses out there.

Everyone i know that has had this has had no issues. less than or like the flu it is. people with health issues i do not count as any kind of serious illness can do them. any flu or pneumonia is no joke but the way we are going about this flu is a big joke.
Actually it's not a flu, but the evil cousin of other coronaviruses like the common cold.
I personally know of 2 people with no health issues that died from it. 4 that had minor health issue and 2 with major health issues.

We just had the Ebola scare 2 years ago and nobody was wearing masks and shutting down our country. Eola is much worse than Covid so I'm wondering why?
It's not as contagious and was contained, if it had spread as quickly there would have been masks and lockdowns

Why? Because it's exhausting trying to explain reality to ya'll.

Like I have posted literally DOZENS of studies on how masks work in this thread. I've explained it like I would to a toddler. I live in a very cold environment - when someone is wearing a mask you can't see their breath on the air anymore when they walk down the street. Just cause you're not capable of getting it doesn't make it not real.

I mean, goalposts are moved constantly by ya'll. "They won't release their studies on the vaccine because it isn't safe" "Actually they've been out for months and months and are highly public", "There's no bodies in the streets so it's fine!" "Er actually there are.", "Only people who are unhealthy get it bad" "Actually there's lots of healthy people dying from it and suffering long term effects", "Ask your doctor! It's all fake!" "Every doctor and healthcare worker I know is working overtime and begging people to wear masks and get vaccinated", "Well it's just a flu! We've seen it before!" "Actually it's got novel in the name BECAUSE it's new and we haven't seen it before", "well whattabout!!!!!!!!".

Like, this shit is documented, proven, backed up by studies and polls and people whose boots are on the ground.

If you can't agree on reality being real, make your own thread where you guys can not take it seriously and complain that people aren't taking unproven treatments and don't like your germy faces in peace. If the answer to "how it's affected your life" is that it hasn't because you refuse to live in a way that gives other people consideration and you just wanna complain, this isn't the place for it.

Just because you say "I think it's serious!!!!!" doesn't mean you acting like it's serious. Y'aint. Saying something doesn't make it true no matter how many times you say it.
