Ivermectin? I have not heard Dr Fauci speak about this, nor any recommendations from the Cdc about ivermectin. Must have missed something somewhere. Any links to either of these sources?

After you research it you will still be asking why you haven’t heard much from Fauci and the CDC about it. Draw your own conclusions.

Lots of countries are using it...cheap, and appears to be effective. If I hadn't already caught covid in December, I'd be eyeing my pet's heartworm pills... (but please, don't start popping your pet's pills. If anything, ask your doctor to get you an prescription for human ivermectin meds).

Thanks. At this point I'm just puzzled; ivermectin is a wormer. I know that earler on they threw everything but the kitchen sink at Covid in desperation to see what might work. But from mainstrem science I never heard that bleach,Ivermectin or that stuff Trump touted did any good. I'll check out this link later.

Other countries have been providing it as a preventative measure since it has been showed in labs to inhibit the virus replicating. Clinical trials have also shown it decreases symptoms in the sick.

There are few serious side effects, mostly just digestive discomfort (especially if you are passing parasites). So there isn't a huge down side to taking it that they know of.

same thing with h c q I dunno if that's still a med that can get you banned outright just for saying it but the tone of that one has flipped as well. It is traditionally an anti-malaria drug but also used to treat an auto-immune disorder and now this, so go figure. But many meds can treat more than one type of illness it's not too surprising.

I think the original though was they hadn't been researched for covid and could be a danger.
As they learn more , many old remedies become main stream for all kinds of things...or they find issues
That's why it's practicing medicine

No masks *required* in Texas soon but I tell ya what. If I'm in Texas, I'll be wearing my mask for the near future. Nobody can take away my freedom to use the simple face covering solution to protecting myself and others from a nasty virus and all its variants that are still roaming around.

The Princess and I got our second Moderna vaccination 3 weeks ago. We will be wearing our masks out of respect/consideration for others as well as the fact that so much is still unknown about this virus and its variants. For those who choose to not mask, I say go for it. There were 'only' 8,130 new cases diagnosed in Texas yesterday.
