That is a definite shame. Even if you do get sick after being vaccinated, the course of the illness is VASTLY less severe. And a lot of us will be wearing masks by the end of the year because we were less sick from MANY of those winter viruses.
Oh heck yeah! It was really something to go through a whole season with not even a cold! We’re definitely still masking and avoiding crowds etc.

17 months without so much as a cold. I'll continue masking and social distancing like many.

I work with several people that are excited about being able to travel again. I'm finishing up a week long vacation. Everyone was asking where I was going. Nowhere. Got some work done in the garden and yard, finished a couple projects, went kayaking, and chilled. I can have more fun than the average person without traveling more than 10 minutes from home.

We all know bad news travels faster than good. I just want to report that I had no problems with either shot. No discomfort, bad reaction or ongoing issues.
My wife had a sore arm after each, longer after the first but I think sore arms are fairly common after vaccinations or shots of any kind.

Masks are a good thing. The common cold and seasonal flu were non-issues for about the first time last winter.

Here thee say you don’t ge
Yes. We have new restrictions because the covid exploded (delta) Closure time at midnight and all clubs close until mid august. Cafés and theaters Are allowed to open for people with seats + 1,5 meter distance.
One of the reasons is that many young people get lung 🫁 covid and are fatigue for a long time with this Delta variant.
I made a mistake with the name it’s called long covid in my country. In the Netherlands long means lung. . But they use the English term for those who have health problems for many months. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In less than a week the number of infected doubled. But the people on ICU don’t rise (yet?) Probably because most elderly and vulnerable are vaccinated now.

Lol, this was us! We are like, isolation? Mental health issues? Dude, this is our life! The only thing that changed for us was missing church for several months ... and we have a congregation of twelve! 🤣🤣🤣

ETA: oops, meant to put this under the meme of Clint Eastwood.
