Just found this thread. I wish I found it sooner. Covid was a catalyst to get chickens. I had chickens growing up. After getting married and finding a property that allowed some level of farm animals my wife was still on the fence. Then, Covid hit, the quarantine started and I worked from home with three kids 5 and under. I brought up the chickens once more soon after. I think my wife gave in only to have the ability to get eggs and sustain our family just in case. I’m thankful for Jesus Christ that it all worked out, since I was fervently praying that I wouldn’t get caught with my foot in my mouth after wanting chickens so badly and for such a long time. All in all, I worked from home, educated two kids, entertained one, built a coop and run, started an Instagram account called @farmin_armen to document it and used my chickens for therapy.
