More stupidity....more people resigning from good jobs because they refuse to get vaccinated - https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tv-anchor-quits-covid-vaccine-mandate/

No unemployment bennies for them!
Sucks for them, if it were me…take the vaccine!…but my opinion is the healthcare workers doing the same. That I don’t feel pity for them. They work in healthcare, they should be thinking about protecting their patients! Otherwise they should seek new industry to work in that doesn’t require this mandate in healthcare.

Has my life changed? Not really, other than I find the hoopla annoying.

If you want the vaccine, get it and leave me alone. If you don’t want the vaccine, don’t get it and leave me alone. I made my decision based on my health history and what I believe is the best decision for me. Because that’s the only decision I can make - my own. I don’t condemn or praise for whatever others decide for themselves. I expect the same courtesy.

I don’t go around people much and not at all if I’m ill. I don’t invade people’s personal space and I’ve always washed my hands so much that they’re ever on the verge of chapping.

I take responsibility for my choices. If I die (whether due to my choices or anything else), my affairs are in order. It’s what grown ups do in a free country.

(And, no, I haven’t skipped basic health monitoring or dental checks. If you read this far, I wish I could give you a lollipop. ... Pretend I did.)

Lots more industries other than health care will start requiring for their employees to be vaccinated. Anything where safety is important will put the requirement in their health and safety handbook. If you've every had the flu or even a bad cold, remember how your decision-making wasn't the greatest, right?

Examples of such industries would be the airlines and utilities. The guys who repair the lines after a storm have very specific safety procedures because they work in bucket trucks and on tall ladders. People who work on gas lines need to be alert and knowledgeable. These are good jobs with decent pay and benefits.

There will always be some businesses that don't have a vaccination requirement. These will be the same types of businesses that make their employees come in when they're sick with the flu. These will also be the lowest-paying jobs like low-end retail clerks.

Hasn't affected me at all. Hubby and I are both retired doctors and were down in Florida at a CME seminar in March 2020 when everything went crazy. We flew and I knew something was up because they wouldn't turn the air on at all. I got a very light case with just fever, diarrhea, and rash on my face. Everyone else (5 people in condo with me) had silent cases. We've also been exposed to Delta variant and been immune. Going to the Lebanon, IN show on the 15th and Sedalia, MO show on the 23rd, then may go to Nationals in Columbus to watch. Hoping to put together some trips this Winter. I love Anguilla and know our young adult kids would really love it. They also want to do a family trip to Key West.

Just found this thread. I wish I found it sooner. Covid was a catalyst to get chickens. I had chickens growing up. After getting married and finding a property that allowed some level of farm animals my wife was still on the fence. Then, Covid hit, the quarantine started and I worked from home with three kids 5 and under. I brought up the chickens once more soon after. I think my wife gave in only to have the ability to get eggs and sustain our family just in case. I’m thankful for Jesus Christ that it all worked out, since I was fervently praying that I wouldn’t get caught with my foot in my mouth after wanting chickens so badly and for such a long time. All in all, I worked from home, educated two kids, entertained one, built a coop and run, started an Instagram account called @farmin_armen to document it and used my chickens for therapy.

yes, sometimes I sit in the run with my banjo to play a few songs for the ladies. ?
Howdy, you sound like a cool chicken person!

I really don’t understand your analogy at all. If we have a cold or flu my decision making isn’t the best? If I have a bad cold or flu I stay home.

What kind of show? Dog or chicken?
