It had started with me questioning why companies were covering it
Bad news if you're unvaxxed and work at Kroger. They are pulling their paid time off for unvaxxed Covid
So Kroger will still cover it if the employee is vaxxed. The un-vaxxed will have to use their own time. I just don't understand why Kroger or any other company was/is covering covid time.

I don't see how they can pull it from those not vaccinated. It is supposed to be ( in America) the right of the individual. Also there are religious beliefs and those recommened by their doctor not to take the vaccination.
How would they know if someone was or wasn't vaccinated? I would think HIPAA would prevent that knowledge.
They would cover it either as personal time or sick leave same as before Covid when people only had a cold, flu or whatever.

Many companies were/are eating the cost of PTO for covid. Not coming out of the employee's PTO. Kroger is just going to keep doing so for the vaxxed. Whereas for the flu all PTO would come from the employee.

I think they changed the Hippa rule or something. I remember there being a stink about whether it was a violation for your employer to require the vaccine and them saying it wasnt. I could be wrong though

Wow I thought HIPAA covered everything. I just don't keep up on stuff like I use to.
 
I understand why sick time/PTO...not the company covering the PTO for C19. They never covered it for flu or anything else.
Not answering Krogers situation don't know anything about them but most businesses paid,
Why? Because they weren't paying for it...
Originally, during beginning of covid, fed govt (taxpayers) were. I'm not looking up dates right now but beginning any time off was paid by fed govt (us), then it changed and was if a company makes/forces a employee to stay home if they are positive or have symptoms or was in close contact with a positive covid and forced to quarantine the fed govt reimbursed a tax break for the cost. Then sometime this fall? Nothing anymore, if a company/business has to keep someone home they get no funding for it... But the employee can still file for FMLA, federal medical leave act (this might be just here state of NY?)
 
Still no word from the dr. 🙄 but on the plus side I think the medicine is finally working. I no longer feel like my hearts gonna explode and my palms stopped sweating. Actually feel like I could take a nap but I attribute that to not sleeping well last night. Appetite is back too. Still not eating as much but at least I'm getting hungry.
