Ended up in the ER again tonight. Far less expedient than previous. I had a severe panic attack in which my body went tingly and my hands were like lobster claws. 2 ekgs, a lung x-ray and several blood tests and 4 hours later found I had a panic attack and my potassium was deficient. They gave me two giant horse pills that I had to break in half to swallow and sent me home with a packet on potassium rich foods. They said that condition can only be caused by two things: low potassium and hyperventilating. Since I had both it was very severe. I almost crashed my car due to this because it happened while I was driving home. Luckily I have a doctor's appointment next week. The ER was much more efficient during covid. Ironic I think especially since covid supposedly had them packed. I've never had a panic attack like this before which is why we went. Tingling and numbness in the limbs is nothing to shake a stick at. They also told me my rescue inhaler could be causing it but I rarely use it. In fact I used my rescue inhaler once I got home and it seemed to help. I really thought I was going to die today or have a stint put in my heart.
The inhaler causing a panic attack suggestion is because the inhaler can make you tachycardic which in turn freaks you out which in turn gets you more tachycardic. Snowball effect

Yeah my Dr said no more Albuterol unless absolutely needed. She put me on Zoloft for anxiety but I had a severe panic attack today with it. It increased my serotonin levels instead of decreasing them

What about wellbutrin with a Buspar booster and propranolol for when you think you'll be in an unsettling environment? It helps with my agoraphobia and anxiety alot. It doesn't make you feel any different really. Just all of a sudden after a couple weeks on it you'll realize you did something or went somewhere and didn't freak out or talk to someone without that panicky feeling.
Just a thought.

Still waiting to hear back from the doctor on it. I stopped taking the Zoloft as the pharmacy recommended

Finally got a hold of my Drs MA. I explained what happened and she commended me for calling the pharmacy. She said DO NOT take anymore. She said she'd talk to the doctor and get back to me on any changes. She said keep on the magnesium and Benadryl

Finally heard back from the doctor. She wants to try Lexapro. She put in the script but I'm not gonna take it. She said I could have serotonin syndrome. When I looked it up I realized I do. I can't take tramadol or codeine because it does the same thing to me. I messaged her back so hopefully she responds. I think we need to go with something natural because any of these drugs is going to mess with me
