You mean, think of others? One favor I would like to ask:
People please, at the grocery store, farmers' market, and fruit/vegetable stand, only handle the fresh produce you are going to purchase, especially after fiddling with your mask.

I had this problem yesterday. I was wanting a muskmelon at the grocery store. I always selected them by picking up and smelling them individually. Couldn't smell them with the mask on, and I didn't want to handle them all anyway.... I ended up not smelling or buying anyOne favor I would like to ask:

Some fruits you actually do have to handle to determine ripeness. I'm not buying a peach that's rotting just because I touched it. I understand your point but I think it's fairest to ask that you sanitize your hands before touching the fruitOne favor I would like to ask:

I've always determined the ripeness of melons by knocking on them. More of a hollow sound means more moisture so more ripe. Also by examining the spot that they laid in the field. Hand sanitizing stations in the produce department would help. Some fruits you actually do have to handle to determine ripeness. I'm not buying a peach that's rotting just because I touched it. Well we both want to touch before buyingI've always determined the ripeness of melons by knocking on them. More of a hollow sound means more moisture so more ripe. Also by examining the spot that they laid in the field. Mushy means rot
Or just carry sanitizer with you. Personally I feel there's been too much "hand holding" so to speak. If you've lived long enough to drive a car and shop you should know how to wash your dang hands. I sanitize my cart even though it says it's been sanitized. Know why? Because people hate their jobs and don't do them. I don't trust people to do what they say they're going to do. I just do me. I can only control what I do and so far I've remained healthy. Not trying to argue with you because I do see your point but I do think people should be more aware in general. We can accommodate for stupid people all day long but they won't accommodate like wise because they just repeat what the news cockatoos are saying instead of actually following basic hygiene.Hand sanitizing stations in the produce department would help.
Peaches normally ripen fairly quickly, and a rotten peach can be detected by sight.
I admit I do catch myself wanting to pick up different pieces of fruit to inspect before choosing the right one, however I do purchase the one(s) I picked up, even if I think there's a better one right next to it! But there's generally not much difference from the others.
I'm not taking your post as arguing, just discussion.Or just carry sanitizer with you. Personally I feel there's been too much "hand holding" so to speak. Good. I've had people jump down my throat on here when I'm not trying to be offensive at all so I'm just covering my bases. It's hard to judge tone when you're reading something and sometimes people take things a little too personal. I appreciate the discussionI'm not taking your post as arguing, just discussion.
