Let's face it, after a pandemic 100 years ago, we learned nothing. But then we are so busy "monkeying" with history, we really don't learn it anyway.
So what's the end result? We repeat it at best and make it worse most likely. Under the cover of science we have been used as guinea pigs and many of us will never fully recover. (I am not talking about the number of people who have lost their lives). I am talking about people who have lost their livelihoods and families. Those of us who wake up every morning not knowing if we will feel okay or not be able to get out of bed.
All this scientific development that we have acquired in the last 100 years, and we are worse off than we were 100 years ago. One would think we were better off when it came to healing people. Well, we're not, we are just better at spinning the truth.
None of us know the real truth and probably never will. I certainly don't pretend to know.
I do however fear the next go round, whatever it may be and where ever it may come from. At the risk of sounding like a loose nut. I fear the people's best bet is to read Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. Take from it, the point that we must learn to take care of our selves and be willing to help our neighbors. If we don't all stand together against those who will take our jobs and money, and or unable to get together as a people, we are all on our way to expendability. Perhaps we have allowed too much to slide by already.
Learn to take advantage of taking proper care of farm animals and keeping eatable gardens, encourage your neighbors to do the same. it won't hurt if I am wrong and will help a great deal if " it comes to pass".
As an aside: veggies (most) can be kept in a pot to grow as can certain fruit baring trees.
