Coryza, whats the best treatment?

he does shake his head like he is trying to sling the snot off his nose, the chicken health book shows he has something called blue come but that dont seem like its common enough for just 1 chicken to have
 
his turned blueish purple, and fell over for a short time but it is srtarting to stand back up
and new castle is pretty rare as well aint it?

Coryza - swollen sinsus, swelling affecting normally one eye, cheese infection in that eye, thick yellow discharge from nares, wheezing and open moth breathing, very bad smell from the infection.
Treat with Tylan or gallimycian until all symptoms have cleared. Vaccinate all birds on property with vaccine. Medicate all birds for another week, then revaccinate in2- 3 weeks. Any bird left showing symptoms would be a carrier and would need to be delt with. Continue vaccinating your birds every year.


MG is bubbly watery eyes, open mouth breathing, wheezing, clear water discharge. cause by a one celled organism that latches itself to the tissue wall in the throat and lung tissue. Spreads but can becontroled with cleaning chemicals like bleach. Carrier state also, although new research has shown great improvement with certain meds. like Tylan and La200 that are geared only for swine and cattle in this state there are other meds used here on swine that does wonders for MG affected that are used in poultry in other countries. Do some research.....
