Coturnix Chicks Hatched- Pics n what not.

Hubby and I took the chicks out and counted them 56 total coturnix, however two of those are iffy on survival (weak and just aren't very spunky if at all).


And 5 button quail which may be buck creeks as long as they're all going to make it (and as long as she still wants them lol)!

Got a BLACK tuxedo to go along with my black tibetan!

now, these are going to grow up I assume to not be solid black birds as I've talked ot a few breeders who say that there is no such thing atelast not yet.....so I think they will grow up to look like the dark tibetans I have now that I have only 2 of... which is great I needed more!

lol. I wish I still had his sire and dam because they producedme a ton of gorgeous tuxedos however that's why I moved htem out they gave me enough already lol. Now these new tuxes to add to the blood line are just what I needed.

. Its back is pure black with maybe a few glints of red if any. It's basically the same as Shika but a tuxedo. Poor Shika is almost solid black but you can barely tell in the picture. I think I need to take Shika outside for pictures or something lol!

eta: (sinceim a nerd lol) for a tuxedo to be considered a tuxedo it's got to have its throat, neck, belly AND tips of wings covered in yellow (white).
