Coturnix quail chicks feathers

Ugh I feel so bad!!!!!! Can they recover ??
They have a good chance of growing into normal birds if you get that corn out of their immediately.

Do you have dirt or shavings you can put down instead of the corn?

A towel would even work for the night.
Just don't leave them on bare floor where it's slippery.

The numbers I wrote in purple are the percentage of protein per feed.

Without a doubt I would start my next quail on the bottom 30% one.

The 20% one would be perfect for full grown quail...starting around 6 weeks of age.
It has enough calcium in it for laying birds.

Are you sure on the age of your birds?

My local feed store said this would be fine?
That is fine for adult quail and gamebirds….for chicks, a turkey or gamebird starter feed would have higher protein. I agree that the cracked corn bedding could cause a problem

So I checked that tag last night and it is actually the starter feed with the 30% protein. I'll see how they do after taking the corn out of there but I don't really see them eating it it's too big for them
I used this exact feed a few years ago.. mash tends to be more wasteful, but they will grow up fine on it. Definitely remove the corn.
