Hi All. First off, I'm new to caring for chickens. I have two Orpington pullets that are coughing consistently for 11 days. Today I noticed that one Hens comb has a tiny bit of black on the edge of her comb. They have been seperated from the rest of my flock for 10 days and I have been feeding them the Rickets diet every morning, have their normal pellets freely available and ACV in their water. Their appetites are still healthy although I had noticed that one had lost weight when I first noticed her coughing. I spoke to a vet on the 2nd day who said to Observe them and bring them in if they decline. They have no discharge and their poos are normal. I'm just concerned that they haven't improved over this time and I'm not sure if the black on her comb is something to worry about. Sending out a help call to you knowledgeable poultry people
