I have looked for something that might have caused this and nothing other than maybe an infected mosquito could have caused this. I have not introduced ANY birds into my coops at ALL.
Here are the symptoms. The symptoms are similar in all ages of my birds.
Coughing
Sneezing
Head Shaking
Watery Eyes
General Unthriftiness
Gaping breaths
Extremes:
Unthrifty (tail down)
Watery eyes
Swollen eyes
Weight Loss
One bird, not even in the same area as my other birds was scalped. I had her in a different area completely separate from my other birds. She is also exhibiting symptoms. Yesterday she was perfectly healthy. Today, her eye was sealed shut. I opened the eye and a white, solid mass exited. I put some Opthalmic gel in her eye as well as the eye of the swollen eyed bird.
ALL of my flock is currently on Duramycin in the water, Nutri-Drench. I have run out of VetRx, but by all of them being sick, I would use it all in a day. They have been on this treatment for one day and today sound SO much worse.
ANY ideas? There have been cases of West Nile in horses and birds in this part of the country.
Thank you for any and ALL help! I'm completely at a loss on this one. No mortality as of yet.
