No, I was thinking you could get one rooster and one hen in the silky variety!
May be a different situation when you’re introducing a rooster to hens though.

Are you planning to expand your set up to add more birds? You previously posted that you have a 50 or 60 sq ft run? You are already maxxed out on birds, integrating new ones requires space and the addition of clutter which eats up additional space.

Not Usually.

Also, my neighborhood doesn't like rooster crowing

Do they not allow roosters, or just a noise ordinance?
NoCrow collars are rife with risk....and don't work all that great.

I don't think I'm going to get more chickens anytime soon. Thank you all for your advice!!

I have already made the coop and gotten the chickens, so with the 6 hens I have now, I guess I'll to let them out more often.

Getting thru your first winter can be nerve racking.
Plan some coop expansion over the winter, then maybe more chicks next year!
