Could they be sex-linked?

Our chicks supposedly are Bantam Golden Laced Wyandotte (cockerel) and Rhode Island Red (pullet) mixes. Could they be sex-linked? Because we find it strange that we got 4 black chicks and 4 gold chicks.

Unfortunately, no, there is no color based sex linkage that would be in play in this crossing.
