But let me add this to what I said before: the biggest push of preparation I have (and I'm sure others will agree) is to prepare my heart. As in, a fresh renewal in my relationship with Christ. It has been amazing. I'm weeding things out, and coming closer to Him than ever before in my walk. The second on list of importance is praying for America/our people. SO many covenants have been broken (church/state/govt issues; marriage; life (abortions); idols...). Just read Ezekiel as an example of how God handles broken covenants with His people. Not good. Kay Arthur has begun her version of the Fulton Street Revivial, a call to prayer for our country every thursday between 12-1p.m. until Christmas.
The interesting thing about the Fulton Street Revivial, is that it occurred in New York several months before the Great Depression, when Wall Street crashed and people were jumping out of their windows.
Other believers that I know are saying watch California, also. That state alone, because of broken marriage covenant in recent news, idol worship (Hollywood), might just be the beginning example. Or the domino that starts it all...
