Countdown to Ducklings! [a Journal]

Anyone have any hints on how to keep them from spilling their water bowl? It's a new discovery to them and I just got them a two gallon bowl which they spill immediately. It's just a Tupperware bowl so its taller than wider and I'm not sure if it was just a bad idea or what. They're so frustrating these days. They spill everything and get so messy. I cant wait until the end of August when we have a new house and a whole entire room for them.

The bowl needs to be wide also and heavy so they can't tip it you could even put a large rock in the bottom to keep it from tipping with ducklings they are going to find a way to make a mess. If you have a broiler pan your not using you could also sit the bowl on top of it to catch the water they spill.

Look forward to seeing their new room !!

I think a rock is a good idea. I have a pan to catch the water but they spill that too lol. Magical duckteens (as I call them)

They sure have grown. Yep those Magical duckteens.. How are they doing still friendly? they look very relaxed in their tub.

They're not friendly to people at all :( they run away. They're only calm when they're being held.

Heres some pictures from outside today

So big now and beautiful.. It's very normal for them to be wary of people after all were huge and might eat them.

My Runners act like I am the axe murderer unless I have snackies then they are all over me. I have had them over 2 yrs now hatched here.
