Countdown to Ducklings! [a Journal]

So big now and beautiful.. It's very normal for them to be wary of people after all were huge and might eat them.

My Runners act like I am the axe murderer unless I have snackies then they are all over me. I have had them over 2 yrs now hatched here.

True if I have food Crackers is ALL OVER me. Quackers is more shy and would rather eat off the floor.

Do their beak colored hint at gender? I noticed their beaks are totally different colors, but I am still really hoping for a same sex pair.

No it doesn’t. I had 8 this spring. 4 peach bills and 4 orange bills. I put colors on their ankles so I could remember which one was which if the changed as they grew. There were males and females of each bill color along with different sizes too.:D

Crackers, now renamed Meatball, is finally catching up in size to Quackers!

Heres meatball by himself, before he cut my arm to shreds trying to escape x.x

Why the name change? Cute, just wondering. :)

My boyfriend has fallen in love with him and wanted to change his name. It was intended to change their names once their personalities were apparent. Meatball wasnt my top pick. Actually Fatty McGee was lol. He loves to eat and will beg for food, he tries to eat EVERYTHING including feet, hands, the bed...

So cute I like the name Meat Ball. They sure have grown. Do you know yet what their sexes are?
No idea, they're just now getting their "adult" quacks and so far they're both making deep grumbles. I think they are around 6-7 weeks old so I have a few more weeks to go right?
