Countdown To Eggs! For June hatches 😊

I figured out one of my 3 mystery eggs. One of the tan ones was from my SF that was on winter break. Lol

Still no pale green egg since the one I found Fri.
My EE Sat in the nest box for an hour today... No egg... Before and after that she ran in and out of the coop and all around. Waiting for her to lay to see if pale or same color as they were before her break ... Maybe tomorrow

Still no other green egg ... And no matte tan egg either. My EE spent most of the morning in the nest box and nothing. Ugh....

Sorry not my July babies (and I didn't keep any June babies)

Still no pale green egg. Thinking maybe Hummers egg but hers are pale blue... I even had my daughter look at mystery egg and Hummers and she said mystery was more green tint and Hummers was more blue tint.

Tequila laid today and hers are as dark as before. Here is a pic of the 3 eggs be as best as I could get the colors to show.

Hummer laid the 17,19, 21 and 24.... Mystery egg found on the 20th....

Still no matte tan egg like the one I found on Sun either....

Damn chickens!

I think I've figured out my mystery eggs today, y'all!

Mystery egg #1, quoted above, I'm pretty sure was Gwenyth, my naked neck bantam! She's an Easter baby, not a June baby, though. There was a second egg just like this one in the same nest today shortly after she'd been fussing in the coop, and she seems to favor the nests on the side of the coop where these eggs are being found.

Mystery egg #2, whoops, I think this one may actually be one of my older Cochin bantams coming back into lay.


BUT, I can finally say one of my June babies has started laying!! I found an even smaller egg in the nest Athena prefers yesterday, and today I've been able to confirm that it was, indeed, an Athena egg as she's laid her second one today!! Athena's first egg on the left with mystery egg #2 on the right, here:

And the woman of the hour, little miss Athena This picture is from a couple weeks back, of course, because we're snowed in at the moment.

Woohoo glad you figured out your mystery eggs!!!!!!

I would suggest a coop cam to make it easier but that hasn't worked for me. Lmao!!!

Haha, darn, I hope you're able to figure it out soon! I do still wonder if maybe it was just Hummer having a bit of a hiccup in the paint department and that's why you haven't gotten another one like that!

Haha, darn, I hope you're able to figure it out soon! I do still wonder if maybe it was just Hummer having a bit of a hiccup in the paint department and that's why you haven't gotten another one like that!

That is what I am wondering. But odd it was in a different spot than where she normally lays. And that would have been 3 in a row..... Unless maybe she laid it the 15th, so her first egg after her break, and I didn't find it till the 20th....

Still have the other tan one to find the owner of. Haahaa.

I still have my 3 July babies to start laying... 2 have very red combs and one is still on the pink side. Then my CCL from April is sporting a nice red comb.

But I got 6 eggs today which is the most in forever. With 2 girls starting back up today.

Yup, she's a silkied Blue Cochin bantam

I've got one more Easter baby to lay and then 4 more June babies after Athena. But I got 3 eggs yesterday (the two pullet eggs and one from one of my older girls), which was the most I've gotten in a long time, too! I could actually maybe do a little baking soon!
