You have an Easter chicken not laying? Sounds like a cockerel to me. I’d return that one!Yup, she's a silkied Blue Cochin bantam
Oh, huh, I missed that part! Super weird
I've got one more Easter baby to lay and then 4 more June babies after Athena. But I got 3 eggs yesterday (the two pullet eggs and one from one of my older girls), which was the most I've gotten in a long time, too! I could actually maybe do a little baking soon!

I have all 10 laying now too! My Faverolles went broody (crazy girl), and hasn’t laid since I broke her, but she did start. I’ve been checking for eggs quick before I leave for work and yesterday grabbed 2 I saved from freezing. The other 4 must have been laid late afternoon as they weren’t frozen when I got home (first thing I did was run out to grab eggs lol.)Coldest temps of the winter thus far, -4, and these girls are still laying strong. Plenty of frozen eggs but I’m still thrilled they’re laying consistently. I also might have a new colored layer with a pale grey-blue egg. Wouldn’t that be cool?

Trixie, the other Easter baby, has been checking out the coop lately, though, and several of the other June pullets are looking more flush and full in their combs and wattles.
