Every time the wild ducks and geese fly over my farm I cringe, hoping none want to take up residence here. I love to watch the wild ones out in their natural habitat but would really like to keep the ones I have wild Mallard free. I do not have Mallards because I do not really want them but I suppose if any flew in and wanted to join the flock I would feed them. too.

I suppose I have no worries since I haven't a pond and they are flying from one pond to another on the other farms around me. Beautiful to watch and we (me and the ducks) always stop and watch but I prefer they stay free. I do not think they would be very happy here except for all the food and it isn't really their diet for the most part.

I always wonder if my ducks are thinking, "Gosh, I wish I could do that and go where they go."
