Counting down the day until baby chicks get here!!!!!!!!

I got my chicks today!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so tiny. I will be taking some pictures soon, they are pooped and need food and rest. I did lose 2 in shipping but I still got 26. I think one was a buff orpington but I'm not sure what the other was. Anyways- Will be posting some pictures soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 Week old Speckled Sussex with 2 day old new babies! What a difference!!!

Not sure what this little guy/gal is. I'm assuming its my Meal Maker since I didn't order something like this. Could it be a Partridge Rock maybe?

Thank you. They are so tiny but they are sweet. When I open the brooder door some of them will run up to me! Its so cute.

Well I lost one this afternoon, a EE. I hope I can intergrate these babies with my adult birds early. I hope that since I don't have a rooster that the hens won't be so hard on them. Hopefully I won't lose anymore... Losing babies is hard.
 
Wow, everyone has such big flocks in their futures. We just ordered four chicks, since we live in the city. They arrived yesterday and we're smitten.





Quite a range of sizes. That little chick is a spitfire.
