Now, seriously, if you want to hunt them, check your local game laws. Here in PA, it's open season year round.
We lure them in with rancid meat (2 day old chicken livers) and a predator tape. I think the true name of the tape is "Baby Cottontails in Distress". Pick yourself up a cheap tape player that self-reverses and set it out to play.
We lost close to 15 cats and 2 really good dogs to the yotes. Then chickens started coming up missing, and we began seeing them in the yard during daylight hours, I was afraid to let the kids out to play.
I can't tell you how many we've destroyed. My personal number is 11 kills. I use the 30.06 and they drop where they stand.
