coyotes everywhere!

my wife was crying the other night she heard the cyotes tearing up a dog that lives down the street she said she could hear the dog trying to fight them off and everytime they would get on him he would yipe in pain she felt real bad

I had one come here the other night dont know that he will be back though. He was headed for my chicken house I guess and he didnt realize there was a 108 pound german shepard asleep in the dog house. I heard shiloh go off grabbed my gun and headed out the door just in time to see my shepard grab him by the butt. He took off running again and ran right into my electric fence. I swear I think he messed himself but then he ran again and jumped the fence around our yard and headed back to the woods. Havent seen him since but he did leave his butt hair in my shepards mouth. Im not so sure he thinks chicken dinner is worth what he had to go through to get it,

Now, seriously, if you want to hunt them, check your local game laws. Here in PA, it's open season year round.

We lure them in with rancid meat (2 day old chicken livers) and a predator tape. I think the true name of the tape is "Baby Cottontails in Distress". Pick yourself up a cheap tape player that self-reverses and set it out to play.

We lost close to 15 cats and 2 really good dogs to the yotes. Then chickens started coming up missing, and we began seeing them in the yard during daylight hours, I was afraid to let the kids out to play.

I can't tell you how many we've destroyed. My personal number is 11 kills. I use the 30.06 and they drop where they stand.

Good luck-
Em
