Had to do a carol for my own girls! Princess is a Prairie Bluebell and absolutely refuses to lay the blue egg I covet so badly . She's also been the strangest bird in the flock since Day One, but we love her anyway! Here's to you Princess!
(just fyi, in the song, the word Jefé is Spanish for boss, Jefé rhymes better )

Princess Looking so Serene

All I really wanted to see
A blue egg so pretty,
But Princess has refused to lay
She says "no way Jefé",
The girls lay in all shades of brown along with white and green

The days are growing short,
