Okay so I have a deep love for animals. SO, when I was storing eggs for my incubator and only needed one more, The one I got had a teeny tiny crack on the very top pointy end. I didn't know what to do, however, since it was SO small, I decided to roll with it and popped them all in. Do you think it will make it? Today is day 3, Candling on Saturday so I guess I can see then. If It is forming, do I keep it or toss it? Anyone ever incubate cracked egg and has good result? Its a super tiny crack, like, SUPER tiny.

Thanks in advance! :wee:wee:wee

oh and is it to late to patch it on day 3?
Well if I was going to patch it I would have done it to start, but probably not to late. I just don't go to the trouble for a regular egg---I just get another one and eat that one or chuck---according to how bad it is cracked. With Incubating I do not want to start out with a problem egg, a egg that might go bad and gas some of the others. But that's your call.

Could I patch it with a tiny piece of tape or is that to strong?

If it will stick----you can melt a candle and drop a few drops on it---probably stick better. If it appears to not be developing when you candle in a few days I would get it out---you don't want a bad egg in your incubator. Good Luck
Thank you for your help! I decided to toss it since it had a big clot under the crack which I had no idea what it was.. Cracked egg open to see that it must have started but quit pretty fast, because it only had a tiny vein in the yolk and after looking at development of eggs thats not how it should look. Down to five eggs, really hopingg at least 3 hatch, this is my first time incubating 0.0
