These faces are awesome. They are so expressive. Yes, do venture into making the body you will have so much fun dressing them. I did porcelain dolls for about 10 years (someday will get back to it) and always liked that each one was different. If this becomes a passion for you considering selling them, the doll market is really big and people will pay a lot of money for one of kind dolls.

Thanks Sandee, I have been thinking about selling them, if I can make a feminine face I'll be all set -

I'm struggling with that - all my faces seem to end up male.

I hear this so much from artists! Men have more angular and pronounced features and are therefore easier to draw, sculpt etc.

absolutly, I did a "portrait" in wool yesterday, I did my husbands grandfather and he has very distinct features - I got it really close, I can actually SEE its him, my hubby even said "WOW"!

I do need to still add his eyes and ears. I don't know what color his eyes are. He also wears glasses, and I don't know if I can make them out of wire or perhaps find something online. (doll glasses perhaps that are really tiny)
I'm going to try his other grandfather next - I just need to find a photo.

Wildsky - You might think about using one of the faces as an older woman. Try thinking about a "Red Hat" lady that usually has lots of character in their faces and with a women's body and clothes your may get something really unique. Just a suggestion

Yes, absolutely! I love working with older subjects! Their faces do have so much more character and definition. Every piece of artwork I've done with older folks has sold so fast I don't get much of a chance to show them off. With your talent, a grandma doll would turn out awesome!
