Crafters- What are you making???

You're very welcome. Several of my hens wear saddles on occasion. Here is a picture for you-the Orps have to have "flank flaps" added to their saddles (I redesigned some I had on hand) since normal saddles don't cover the area that is in danger well enough. My Blue Orp rooster is about 13-14 lb so can damage the flank area if it's not protected:

I think those are some of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen! Each feather is outlined as if to be hand painted. They look like concrete statues in a very expensive garden center! WOW!!

I saw some dresses, skirts and halter tops made from ties online, but had no intention of doing any of that when I went looking for ties at the resale store. BUT the resale store had a couple of cumberbunds and when I saw them the magic just happened. It is way prettier in person than in the picture. :)

On my eggs I use rub-on's, stickers, temp tatto's, Bindi's and on the tie-died looking one, that is the skin from a soapbox derby section of Hobby Looby.
To hang my eggs I use some clear jewlry thread along with bead caps and beads to finish them off. On a couple of the eggs I used a clear gold or blue nail polish, it really gave them an "antique-ish " look.

.

Those eggs are beautiful! I just started making some for the first time and they are no where near as pretty, maybe I'll get better with the next batch :)

Thank you! The one on the right died recently, sadly, when her crop stopped working. I miss her. The one on the left is doing well, though she's over 4 years old now. That was an older picture.

urban escapee, those eggs are GORGEOUS!

Thank you very much :)

Most of my first batch ended up as Christmas presents last year. And needless to say some of the prettiest ones broke while being handled for one reason or another. Just think outside the box when your looking for things to decorate eggs. I live at the clearance bins at Joann's, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Check the dollar store for things especially around holidays. On a side note, we blow eggs every time we cook more than 2 eggs for a meal, so I always have a stash of 'em to work with. My adult daughters love to come over and raid my craft box and make an egg to take home, and my neices (4 and 6) also ask to make one when they come over. LOL they told their mom "Aunt Dawn is crafty" I know what they meant but it still cracked me up.

I JUST CHECKED OUT YOUR WEBSITE!! ITS AMAZING!!
