Crafters- What are you making???

Still hand quilting my purple & gold bed quilt from the lovely top that Kathyinmo sent me. I'm almost finished with all the blocks and about to begin on the borders. I used to knock out things faster years ago, but eyesight, carpal tunnel and an aging back make me have to take breaks much more often and for much longer than in the 1980's.

I made a toy snake out of old socks... was supposed to be a draft-excluder but I'm having too much fun with him to leave him by the door!

Boy can I relate to that!

There are many things I love about getting older but there are some things I can do without!

I recycled a pair of old boxer shorts and a flannel (face cloth/washcloth) into a cute pair of baby shoes

I'm making a hat for the easter dance tonight at the senior center! It has no brim and I can't make it very tall or heavy or I won't be able to dance in it. Those of you who dance ballroom understand this. I have to hurry and get to the craft store to find some fancy feathers and probably won't finish soon enough to take pics and post before we leave tonight but I will post them soon.

ebwy where are the pics for the sock snake and the baby shoes?

Just finished a quilt called 'Nickel Bricks", gift for my nephew in honor is his eagle scout accomplishment. Even found eagle scout fabric for the backing, also been making sewing small over the shoulder bags, pattern is B and B bags and it's great.
There is a pattern called the book pillow, http://www.nancysnotions.com/product/patterns/home+accessories/reading+pillow+pattern.do

Has
anyone made these? I hate to spend 10 on a pattern. My father in law is 94, still reading, and my husband has parkinsons, extreme tremor, so he puts his books on a pillow now,
It can't be hard! Will try my hand at it this weekend and let you know. KM

Okay... I'll be watchin' for 'em.

Here's a pic of the first hat I ever made. I think if I keep practicing I could get pretty good. It's not bad for a first hat. Sorry for the odd deer in the headlights look. DH and I were out very late dancing and I forgot to take a pic of the hat earlier. I'm pooped in this pic and trying hard to keep my eyes open and to keep from yawning.
