Crafters- What are you making???

Another addition, a washcloth.
The blue heart is a soap - the pink heart is a bath fizzy:

G - and that is a sportweight yarn.

Thanks Wild! The washcloth looks great too! Is the single crochet as the washcloth body, and then double in every crochet all the way around for the border?

Yep - I started with a chain of 50 on the washcloth and just kept going till it was square. Single all the way round once, then the three doubles in each going all the way round, and I made a little loop to hang it.

I found more of the same yarn - this time with a label still on it

I actually HATE this yarn cause it splits up and gets loopy.
Its Lion brand, Micro Spun. I have some orange, white and green of the same - so I'll use it up!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I finished the orange colored soap saver last night, for all the effort to make the bottom flat, it didn't make a huge difference in how it looks.
If I have time later I'll post pictures, I took a picture of the bottom little OVAL shape before I did the rest of it.

What type yarn are yall using to make the washcloths? I'm sorry if I missed it but I want to make some and I have some yarn left over from a baby blanket and was wondering would it make a good wash cloth. I am going to make the album bowls and put a bar of hand made soap & a wash cloth in it. I thought about making album labels like "Splish Splash I was taking a bath"or "Rub a Dub Dub get in that Tub". What do yall think?

I would give it a try. Wild said she used cotton originally and it stays soggy so I think her next trial was gonna be with the acrylic. I haven't made the soap savers but I did make cotton washcloths last year...I especially like the sugar n cream and peaches n cream yarn. Try what you have

I made a soap saver today or atleast what I call a soap saver. made it for the girls so that they would quit digging little hole in the bar of soap. They get it under their nails and don't wash it all out and then when they rub their eyes or lick their fingers they get a good taste of soap and you know after so many times you'd think they would learn but no. I made it with a H hook and some acrlyic yarn and chained 28 across and then did a dc back and forth until it was the size of a sandiwhich bag and then sewed the sides up and added a fold over lip like the sandiwhich bag so all I have to do is put the soap in and fold it over and let them have at it.
