ha ha I turned mine off, I'd love to still be hatching and honestly I kinda need to be but I can't get hubby in the mood to build pens and brooders so I'm maxed!! I've got 2 brooders with half grown chicks in them and a Tv box with some month olds that need to go somewhere but I'm out of room. I got to counting I have 2 dog kennels with chickens 5 runs, 7 pens and 3 brooders full now..LOL over 100 chickens.

Buy some of those cages from TSC, they make good brooders. I have three of those. I have made small pens in the greenhouse and the mille/japs run wild in there for right now since they are a project and I hatched so many. Two brooders in there (large tubs work good for brooders too). Two brooders in the house again now. I am trying to count the larger pens/runs..........................................................................13..I think and 7 smaller hand made cages. I have plans for at least one more on the other side of the greenhouse but have to wait until I have everything together before I can approach Phil on that one.

Were these the flat rate boxes? I never use them, such a rip off.

Yea, but even the other boxes, my po dont carry them, so i just ordered some online, and even that they went up on shipping too.

I used to think so too, but I found out otherwise yesterday! I took 2 dozen eggs to the PO to ship off, and accidentally put them in a regular priority box, rather than a flat rate box! By the time I paid the additional shipping, I ended up making the same for these as I do for my eating eggs!!

I sold some eggs and the buyer wanted overnight shipping...I called the local P.O. and she told me $18...but that they don't do overnight...so, I go the one a lil farther down the road...and in fact, overnight shipping was $28!!!!!!
