Crazy Chicken!

I have a one year old Cuckoo Maran (named Eudora), and I think she's lost her mind. First she developed her own special 'Eudora screech' that sounded different from all the other chickens. Now, whenever the other hens get too close to her she puffs herself up (she kind of looks like a miniature turkey) and runs around screeching.
Any theories as to why she is doing this?

Sounds like she may be going broody!

She's a really bad broody then... sometimes I do have to take her off the nest box but not every day and she doesn't get back in there.
