Seriously though, that's a new one. I've seen egg within an egg threads, giant egg threads, 'what the heck is it!?' threads, but never a siamese twin egg thread. I'll have to keep my camera poised when my ladies start laying!

She spent two hours in a nest box today clucking away. Now she is back out and no egg. I wonder if she has something internally wrong? If I don't get an egg in a day or two I will really start to get worried? It has been two days since the freaky egg and she wants to lay. Any thoughts?

I had that happen last yr. it was weird & my hubby found one last wk . But just 1 egg not a dbl.

That picture was SO nasty! LOL Usually, when my girls lay a "double yolk" egg they don't lay the next day...

I got one of those when I moved my coop. My Red Sex Link laid from the roosts too so I thought it was stress related.
