Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

I slipped 4 "Creamsicle" (Silkie male X CL female) blue eggs under my broody Cochin just now. If there is another laid tomorrow I will give her that one also. Im excited to see this cross. Now lets hope they are fertile.

So, will you be the first to hatch a "Creamsicle"? LOL love that you guys came up with this! Can't wait to see pics.

I agree. Legbars are beautiful all on their own. Crossing is just a fun way of getting different colored eggs and sometimes pretty hybrids. Plus you get to come up with fun names like Creamsickles!

Rainbowhatchery I also plan on crossing a maran with a CCL to get an olive egger. Pretty Eggs!

Well except maybe flying monkey's rose comb CL project . I consider a comb that will not freeze so easily a improvement . I know apples and oranges .

Im a fan of that project too! Single sombs look nice when they are intact but frostbite is an issue some of us face. My males look like I dubbed them.

I wonder why they did not go with a cushion or V comb in the beginning . No crest issue on those combs plus no frostbite .
