No . Sex link only works one way with barring . Hens must be barred and rooster not barred .

I hatched some black copper marans roo over ccl's and blue copper marans over ccl's about 8 weeks ago and got a variety of different chicks, the male chicks had white head spots, but I'm not sure if it was on all of them. The leg feathering of the marans showed up on some, the crests showed up some, and I've got blacks and blues. I haven't had a chance to study them that close because I hatched close to 100 chicks at the time and there are several other bcm crossings in the mix. My goal with the ccl's was to get olive eggers. I did notice today while I was moving them, I have a nice looking little pullet with a crest and copper hackles.

I haven't had a chance to look at this whole thread, but does anyone know if someone has crossed a Crested Cream Legbar with a Blue Andalusian, and if so, what were the results?

I believe Saris has, there is a post on page 254, January 2016. I am planning to hatch a few eggs with my CL roo over BA hen next month, so I am also interested in hearing about other's experiences with this.

Ok sorry it took me so long. I'll be incubating eggs off the ccl hens and the rhode bar roo so I'll know in about 22 days or so I am not setting today waiting for a few more eggs. I did want y'all to take a look at this roo. It is not a good pic and I will get better in the daylight or may go out and get him in the porch light. But anyway here he is

How old are they now? I have some chicks that are supposed to be legbar crosses but none have a crest. What age should the crest be apparent?
