How old are they?

It looks like your males are silver and females are gold, which is what I would have expected. I assumed this cross would be sexlinked. I also thought my cross of CL x Silver Spangled Spitzhauben would be sexlinked as well. But my 10week old appears very much to be a pullet and she is black with white markings not gold like I thought would happen.
This is an old post, I know, but I'm trying to figure out if CL roo X Silver Spangled Spitz would result in sexable chicks. Or CL roo X black or splash Spitz (prob not?)
Does anyone know?

No not in that direction with barring . You would need barred hens and a rooster that is not barred for sex links . You do have another sex linked gene silver . Not sure how easy it will be to tell . Pullets from the CL x Silver Spangled should be darker than the cockerels . However the black from the Spitz could make it hard . Never made a cross like that .

Cream Legbar roo over a black double laced Barnevelder gives me what?
Or
Barnevelder roo over creamlegbar hen?

Any sort of sex link? Assuming no for Legbar roo maybe fr barne roo?
Are chicks at all sexabke or no
Colors at hatch? Vs purebred barne?

Edited to add I have my own answer lol someone hatched out some of my eggs
The barnie too x Legbar hen are sex links

I have chicks from my RIR roo over CCL hens. They are six weeks old. It have one who looks just like a CCL and looks like a roo, then two who are more RIR coloured with slight barring, one more than the other, I can't decide if the more barred one looks like a roo. Is this a sex linked cross? I can only find info on crosses the other way round. I only have videos of them as they are so fast! Thanks

Does anyone have a picture of a Cross between a CCL Roo over a Splash Marans? I'm interested in a picture of a cross hen if possible. My guess they would have the markings of a Legbar but blue undertones?

Thanks,
Deborah

When I did this cross, the chicks were solid blue. If I can find photos, I'll post them, but a coyote ate my pullet before she grew up. :(
Edit: Found some!

They would be blue barred. May have a little leakage when they mature.
Pure CCL rooster would have two barring genes so all offspring would get one and be barred.
Splash marans hen has two blue genes so all offspring would get one and be blue. She is also extended black which is dominate so all offspring would be solid colored. They could get a little leakage in the hackles from the rooster but hens dont seem to get leakage to the degree a cockerel would and most dont leak until they get their adult plumage.

Thank you that makes sense. The two Splash Marans were hatched from a very dark egg. I hope to get a pretty olive egger.
