Check out the cream legbar club website. There is a registered breeder's list on the club website. There are breeders listed all over the country, even a few Australian breeders signed up to be on the registry! I'm listed as a breeder for south central Montana, near Billings. Ralphie does white legbars in Minnesota. There are so many more on the list, you might be surprised! Can someone point me in the right direction on where I can get good quality legbar hatching eggs this spring?? Please!!! Be sure to ask your prospective breeder for pictures and ask questions, such as asking about egg color, honest answers regarding what faults the line carries, and about autosexing chicks.
They're very light... they almost look silver-based instead of gold-based. Where did you get them? Type-wise I like them a lot.Thoughts on these 13 week old ladies? Let me have it im a big boy, these are my first cream legbars know idea if they're worthy of offspring
I have 1 more pullet she's built the same, she has gold hackles without the cream... Papa's poultry they're green fire line i ordered a batch of autosexing chicks all are beautiful and were very defined im gender..They're very light... they almost look silver-based instead of gold-based. Yes, this one appears to be clearly golden crele. The lighter ones are interesting to me, I wonder if others think they are highly diluted creams rather than silvers. We usually have issues with over melanized creams as opposed to under-, but these do have the gold around their faces so perhaps that is the case. Here is the other pullet
I just can't with Facebook anymore. Too political and hateful. Of course, we know the rules here are no overt political speech, but we all know that rule and our esteemed mr niftychicken laid out rules pretty clear. I really appreciate this platform. I appreciate a place without the other garbage, where we can just discuss poultry and archive things we have discovered and discussed. I was a lurker for several years before even making an account, and I love it and wished I did sooner.Goodness. I hate that so much activity and conversation has moved to Facebook groups. It's such an inferior platform. I've been reading through this thread and there is SO MUCH valuable information archived and made searchable here. Things shared in Facebook groups disappear into the ether.
Not only that, but I'm always in FB jail and can't even comment and participate because of breaking the constantly changing rules. I can't post for a month because I called someone a potato jokingly, and then I was discussing what it felt like to identity as a certain socioeconomic group and somehow that was deemed hate speech.
I really wish we could find a way to draw people back to BYC or even have a Legbar ONLY BBS system on the Legbar Club page. Relying on Facebook for discussion is so exclusionary.
