This is a 7-8week old cream legbar, is it possible to tell the sex of this bird?

I'm not familiar with the breed, but that comb is awfully big for its age. My guess would be rooster.

Do you know what it looked like/have pictures of it as a young chick? As cream legbars are typically autosexing this could provide answers.

Based on this description by a Cream Legbar owner in a past thread, I am leaning towards pullet.
The males feather in pretty plain black and white (light grey) while the females have much more brown and chestnut/red in their initial true feathers.

Here is a visual for comparison from the same discussion thread.
Here are a male and female at 6weeks old. This specific female is incorrectly colored(gold)

Yes, I did buy this from a breeder at 2 weeks of age and was told it was a pullet, however the comb threw me a bit, no Wattle growth though.

Well that’s good news to hear, I’ll pop up a few photos of my 6 week old chicks soon to get a few opinions about them.

Great forum! Thanks
