Cream Legbars

I have no intention of selling them. And if I did they would be as what they are, mixed OEggers. I am sad yo would think otherwise:(

I am sorry you are sad, this is a cream legbar thread, what you are doing is making a type of EE, Which is fine, But the post above talks about people mixing other breeds into the legbars, I just do not like that as I think you work with the genes you have to make the perfect bird and not bring in other breeds genes...

I am sorry you took it personally, Had the post been in the EE thread I would not have even mentioned it, I apologize

No apology necessary. They technically would be EE. But it seems to me that since I am dealing with the genetics of a Cream Legbar then this thread would be appropriate. There are people here who understand more about the CL genetics than some "experts" spouting letters & inaccurate info on other sites. One such person said that it would not be possible for a CL to throw a white sport. You duluthralphie know better :) We are all good .

This could be the same expert that said if I bred two white sports they would not breed true. I have about 3 dozen white sports that will disprove that theory. I keep the whites eggs separate when I hatch, I get whites from my colored ones, I have yet to get a colored one from the whites.

I have finally started selling white sports. People seem to like them, I was going to take a couple dozen to a swap tomorrow but our weather went below zero and I will not take chicks out in it.

added....
And the same guy that said my different colored egg laying mutts are not easter eggers because I used CL, and PC in them to enhance and broaden the color range of the eggs.

I have found out, I might have been "mislead".

I was told I had Rees line and the line before, C and D I think it was.

With the help of a friend here we backed up the timeline compared it to GGF's imports and found it would be near impossible for me to have Rees. Which would explain why I have worked so hard to get the gold out of my birds.

It also explains why my eggs are so much bluer than most peoples Legbar eggs.

I got my birds in the late winter of 2014. The Rees did not come here until 2013 (fall) so it is doubtful I have them. I am sorry about this. I should have looked at the timeline before.

Your kidding! Mislead by GFF, why that has never happened before

. I have been told that the eggs were more blue in lines A & B. But that does explain how you were able to get whites. All the research I have done shows most coming from those 2 lines. And the Rees line roosters are just as cantankerous as the others.
