I need to strengthen and extend they genes pool .all my chooks come from my old line super inbred .
the cockerels from this line is not bigger than 2,5Kg ,that over a pound lighter than SOP call for .

chooks man

what does your SOP call for on weights?

I think ours is a little to heavy as the birds just don’t make 7 pounds.

we don t have a SOP in OZ for CLB .
USA SOP call for 7 pound for a rooster and 6 for a cockerel .
I have worked with USA lin before ,they where big chooks . 7.5 pound a rooster. he was massive .marans rooster I had that time did not stand a chance fighting him .

my plan in th future is to work only with a big hens to get the size up . eggs colour does not matter to me .true blue or greenish . they have to be big hens other wise I m not going to work with a small bird .no way .

only need one big hen that all what I need . rooster they can be small doesn t matter to me .the rooster they have to have a proper body pattern . some line in OZ they do have a red shoulder .no good

I personally like the red shoulder but there's a fight over here about them because the cream color looks almost silver in many cases. The lack of autosomal red in the roosters can mess with the quality of the barring
