Cream Legbars

I didn't know that extension cords could even go bad, except by being run over by a lawnmower. :-(
Hugs.

Don't for get the snow plow, we have done it more than once

Haha that would do it. This cord is a "homemade" one with two plug ends and heavy duty wiring from Lowe's. It is a long way to the shed where I keep my brooders and until we sell the other house we can't afford to run electric out there. I assume a neighbor's cat or dog came through the yard and tripped on the cord making it come loose from the socket just enough to cut power. We don't have any fencing of significance except the electric fence around the chickens. I could see the light in the shed window when I got the kids up at 6 AM. I usually take care of chicks first but had other things on my plate and started with the older birds today. I don't know if it would have saved anyone if I had done chicks first, it would have only made a difference of about 30 minutes. It has come loose before but never when I had little chicks in it, these guys are 3 days old and 2 weeks old so they just couldn't take no heat for a few hours.

so sorry to read this news!
