I have quite a few at my disposal about 16 good cream females - so I'm thinking maybe 4 or 5 to each but I'm making choices based on their generations so sons to moms and fathers to daughters to start the choice followed by other type, color and other characteristics. I may do a few cousins depending on what the girls look like and how much autosomal or other melanizer issues they have. Macbeth is going to get a few nice daughters and the barring of choice boy will get the oldest hens and a GFF girl to start. The youngest will get the GFF hens and some cousins. Then I'll switch things up again I think. I just need the weather to warm and dry up as my hens have muddy feet which is affecting my egg collection. I won't use straw or hay in the pens again given my last experience. We have flood watches right now and temps sinking back to freezing. It snowed on Tuesday night.
