Here is the trio that produced them

It's hard to tell, but your rooster looks a lot lighter than mine. Here's my main rooster color (sorry about the quality of the photo). It's hard to tell, but he has cream hackles and saddles with darker barred chest and wings are darker barred too.

Yes my male is very light (white not cream) I don't prefer my male, but this is the trio I had to start with so I hope to better them through selective breeding. Your male is nice and dark(maybe a little darker than I prefer) but he looks like a nice male for you to start with.

He's not as dark as the picture looks. That's what happens when I take pictures. Lol! I really need to figure out a better system for picture taking (the chicks in my pictures are blurred and the adults coloration is off). I do use my phone which is probably part of the problem. Ha ha! He's more of a dark gray than black (he looks almost like a barred rock in the pictures, but has a softer gray than a black coloring in real life). I'll see if I can get better pictures of him sometime in the near future.

I tried to get pictures of my two that I'm leaning toward keeping. They have differing features I like about both of them. I'm pretty aware of some things I definitely want to work on with both of them and defjnite positives to each. Let me know what you think (forgive the frostbite). Feel free to be honest. They're only 7 months old and have some growing. There are things I like about each that I wish I could combine into one and get rid of the things I don't like so much.

So, went out to my chicken pens yesterday & found one of my Rees line pullets not looking so good. She seems to have no balance, falls over & can't stand up. I don't believe she is eating either. I gave her Rooter Booster but she still looks the same today. Anyone have an experience with something like this? I don't know what could have happened to her. None of the others in the pen are sick or acting strange. Maybe she ate something? Thanks in advance....

I'm interested in getting a few CL to add to my flock. I love central California. Anyone know of a good local person. Or of a reputable person to by CL eggs from to incubate?
